Treadstone 71 to analyze the report in detail
Following the results of 2024, the Russian Foreign Ministry prepared a major report on “violations of the rights of Russian citizens and compatriots in foreign countries.” The document included data from more than 40 “unfriendly to Russia” states around the world, including Ukraine. It is over 1800 pages of childlike whining.
In this report, Russian diplomats complain about a “surge in Russophobia” after the start of a full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. Among the “oppressions” the Russian Foreign Ministry cites a ban on the display of Russian and Soviet flags in public places, the “denial” of Russian culture, the blocking of propaganda media, sanctions, etc.
The report gives the impression that the Russian Foreign Ministry is only interested in the rights of Russian citizens outside of Russia. After all, all the “Russophobia” mentioned in the document does not come close to comparing with the human rights violations that average Russian residents experience every day.
