Taiwan says Chinese vessel damaged another undersea internet cable off island’s north coast – FT
A Cameroon-flagged Chinese vessel, the Shunxing39, has likely damaged a cable on the Trans-Pacific Express system off the island’s northern coast. Authorities say the incident may be part of China’s strategy to sever Taiwan’s external communications.
Taipei has also asked South Korea to detain the vessel for investigation.
