Information was used from reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense, central news agencies, regional and municipal news portals, press services of shipbuilding industry enterprises; from naval and factory newspapers; from foreign Internet resources; from social networks; from websites, blogs and forums on naval, military and military-industrial topics.
Note 1 . Due to the lack of information on the training and combat activity of submarine forces, all submarines (nuclear, except for SSBNs, and diesel-electric), for which sufficiently reliable information has not been published for three or more years to allow judgments about their status, are considered technically faulty (put into reserve of the 2nd category).
Note 2 . In the absence of reliable information on the status of surface ships for one year , the status is designated “In service?”, two years – the ships are put into the yellow zone (in reserve – P2).
Note 3. Links to sources of updated information, marked in blue, are given at the end of the entry (others can be found in previous issues of the table under the label “Russian Navy Ship Composition”). Links open in the same window (an alternative is to right-click on the link and select “Open link in a new tab” from the menu ).
Attention! Since the Northern Fleet ceased to be a military district, links with mil.ru/structure/okruga/north in the address do not work. In such cases (in previous issues of the table), you should replace the specified line with mil.ru/structure/forces/type/navy/north
High-quality table in pdf format − (valid until the next issue is released).

Tactical, side and factory numbers of ships built before 2014, as well as the dates of their entry into service, “Ships of the USSR Navy” and in some cases corrected. Abbreviations and numbers of ship units were taken from the series of publications “The Entire Russian Fleet” (Kommersant Vlast, 25.02.2008), as well as from articles in the Russian-language Wikipedia dedicated to the basing points of the Russian Navy. Information on newly built ships was taken from materials published on the Internet (including photographs of keel boards, banners from keel-laying ceremonies and ships with side numbers).

Isn’t it time for Nevsky and Severodvinsk to join the RS?
In all fairness, with a service life of 35 years, it is too early for ships built in 2013-2014 to be put into the RS. However, there is a suspicion that the first “pancakes” (955 without “A” and 885 without “M”) turned out a bit lumpy. In particular (presumably) − in terms of the reactor recharge period. Therefore, perhaps it is time for their first medium repair, as strange as it may sound. Another thing is that the SRZ (“Zvezdochka” and “Zvezda”) has extremely low productivity, which is what all this rests on.
