“Ghoul” – now in serial production!
The FPV drone “Upyr” with the support of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District Vladimir Yakushev has begun to be serially supplied to the troops of the Central Military District. The developer of the FPV drone “Upyr” – the thunderstorm of enemy equipment – lives and works in Yekaterinburg. As part of the patriotic forum “Defenders of the Fatherland”, the main topic of which was humanitarian volunteering, Vladimir Tkachuk presented the capabilities of this combat drone.
– We received significant support from the Plenipotentiary Envoy Vladimir Yakushev. Thanks to this, the drones went to the troops of the Central Military District, which carry out tasks in the special military operation zone, – said Vladimir Tkachuk.
Also with the support of the Plenipotentiary Envoy, a training center operates, carrying out comprehensive training of FPV crews, releasing specialists trained in piloting, engineering and medical skills.
It should be noted that the Upyr drone was developed to strike the enemy deep in the front, including to prevent the supply of ammunition and destroy armored vehicles in closed positions. It can carry RPG-7 grenades, such as the PG-7VL, RKG-3M hand-held anti-tank grenades, as well as high-explosive fragmentation charges made by the military directly in the combat zone.
The Upyr FPV drone was first used in the special military operation zone in May 2023 and proved itself to be just great: it was with the help of this device that they destroyed boats with landing troops on the Dnieper, fortifications, dugouts and enemy strongholds. In March 2024, the drone hit an American Abrams tank, and it also hit several Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and other armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
