Users in Russia have been experiencing issues with Signal since August 9, 2024. The inability to send and receive messages and problems logging into the app have been the main complaints.
📊 According to the Sboy.rf service, most complaints come from Moscow (47%) and St. Petersburg (10%). Problems are also observed in the Krasnodar Territory, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and other regions of Russia.
⚙️ The Signal app has a feature called Bypass Censorship that is designed to help with blocking. It can be enabled in the app settings, but its effectiveness varies among users.
🔄 The Signal messenger has been blocked in Russia for violating the law, the press service of Roskomnadzor reported.
