⚓️ On July 27 – on the eve of Navy Day – a detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, consisting of the training ship Smolny , the patrol ship Neustrashimy and the sea tanker Yelnya , entered the port of Havana
🎆 When entering Havana Bay, Russian ships fired 21 salvos , carried out in case of arrival at friendly foreign ports. The Cuban artillery responded with salutes from guns mounted in the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña.
🇷🇺 A solemn ceremony of welcoming the ships took place in the port, in which Charge d’Affaires of Russia in Cuba A.V. Kosenkova, defense attache V.N. Zubarev, senior group of Russian military specialists V.V. Trishunkin and etc. took part. O. Consul General A.V. Nekrasov.
🇨🇺 From the Cuban side there was a captain of the fleet, head of the Department of Naval Operations of the Revolutionary Naval Forces J.A. Vazquez Rodriguez.





👋🏻 During the visit , meetings are planned with the head of the Revolutionary Navy and the Governor of Havana, as well as visits to local attractions.
📸 The entry of the ships aroused keen interest from the residents of Havana , who greeted our sailors from the city embankment. On July 28 and 29, the training ship ” Smolny ” will be open to the general public.
