The Rubin Central Marine Engineering Design Bureau is developing a fifth-generation nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine.
General Director of the Central Design Bureau for MT Igor Vilnit, answering the question of whether it will be Arcturus, Vilnit said: “It will be better.” He did not specify whether work on Arcturus would continue.
“We have started work on a fifth-generation strategic boat,” he said on the sidelines of an extended meeting of the Academic Council of the Krylov State Scientific Center dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the institute.
