There are two narratives and discourses about Putin, antagonistic to each other.
The first says that Russia lost, Putin lost, that it was Putin’s big mistake and views the war not as a natural development of Putinism, not as a component of the racist system, but as some kind of anomaly, an accident.
She presents him as a rational actor who started the war purely as a continuation of domestic politics, miscalculated and now only wants to “save face.” All this talk about NATO in three days is all window dressing, a screen, rhetorically purely for internal consumption and imitation. Let’s call this narrative the myth of rational Putin, the myth of rational Russia.
This is an outdated narrative and, in our opinion, it is fundamentally incorrect. And from an incorrect fundamental attitude comes an incorrect methodology and set of tools for influencing an object, an incorrect set of actions and an incorrect strategy, or rather, even a set of reactions.
From here all these reasonings grow in the spirit of: “Putin is a rational player”, “let’s hit the economy and little girl will understand that the attack will return everything back”, “you can’t escalate the situation” and all that .
The second narrative is what a significant part of experts and bloggers are talking about, what Ukraine is talking about, which, whatever one may say, understands Russia best of all countries (besides Belarus).
Нарратив следующий: у путина реально протекла крыша на почве имперского рессентимента и он не остановится никогда и нигде. Россия не проиграла, а адаптируется и трансформируется, пыне нужна только передышка и фиксация, а дальше второй раунд, пыня не остановится, пока не реализует свою цель-минимум, озвученную в ультиматуме НАТО и не вернёт власть над всем бывшим соцблоком, не уничтожит текущий миропорядок и не ввергнет мир в эпоху премодерного преВестфальского миропорядка с безраздельным самовластием автократов, разделом мира на сферы влияния и войной всех против всех на внешнеполитической арене.
Ничего не кончилось, а всё только начинается. Убегать россиянам от путина бессмысленно — война будет следовать за ними по пятам. Как и для Запада бессмысленно «убегать» метафорически и метафизически от более открытого и сконцентрированного противостояния с рашизмом. Этот нарратив можно назвать «сказкой о сумасшедшем деде».
И пока доминирует первый нарратив, путин будет в конечном итоге побеждать, ведь некорректная установка порождает некорректные подходы.
Мир должен понять, что путин не остановится, и прочный мир наступит только после свержения путина, демонтажа всей рашистской системы и радикальной трансформации Российской Федерации в целях деколонизации и деимперизации.
Второй нарратив обязан победить и доминировать в информационном и медийном поле. Он должен захватить как можно больше умов и стать основным.
Необходимо перестать прятать голову в песок. Пора открывать глаза, смотреть ими на истинное положение вещей и действовать соответствующе.
