“It can withstand light loads and cope with major threats, but it will become a critical point in the company’s IT infrastructure when the number of employees increases and targeted attacks by attackers. Among other things, before using open source solutions, you need to fully scan their code for vulnerabilities. This will allow obtain information about possible risks,” said Sergey Ananyev, network security analyst at RTK-Solar.
The materials clarify that network attacks remain the most popular method for attackers to gain access to victim computers, servers and network equipment. In the first half of 2023, the activity of miners in network traffic doubled, and the share of hacker attacks using SSL encryption to hide malicious activity increased by 53%.
