RDP company has become the general sponsor of the CTF Summer School 2023.
This is an intensive course for schoolchildren and students studying in the specialty “Information Security” – participants of Russian CTF teams, as well as experts in the field of information security.

It started for the 11th time on July 30 at the educational and recreational complex “Forest Lake” in the Solnechnogorsk region.

Maxim Kulikov, an expert on RDP solutions, spoke at the event and talked about processing network traffic at terabit speeds.

RDP, a leading Russian developer of intelligent solutions for broadband communications, acted as the general sponsor of the CTF Summer School 2023 . This high-quality intensive course in information security for schoolchildren and students studying in the specialty “Information Security”, participants of Russian CTF teams, as well as experts in the field of information security, started for the eleventh time on July 30 at the educational and recreational complex “Forest Lake” in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region . This year, among the listeners and guests were not only participants from Russia, but also representatives of the international CTF community from Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Maxim Kulikov , an expert on RDP solutions , spoke at the event and talked about processing network traffic at terabit speeds.

Summer CTF School 2023

The summer school curriculum consisted of lectures from experts in the field of information security, among whom were, in particular, the Coordination Center for the National Internet Domain and the Association of Chief Information Security Officers (ARSIB).
The competition was designed for participants with different levels of training, each team was supervised by one of the organizers. In the evenings after school, the children enjoyed an entertainment program and emotional gatherings around the fire.

Speakers from various Russian companies made presentations to the participants of the CTF Summer School. The organizers also took care of covering related areas that could help children on the path to becoming information defenders. Thus, RDP expert Maxim Kulikov spoke about processing network traffic at terabit speeds and shared his experience.

Complete immersion in the topic, development of existing skills and mastery of new ones, active recreation and practical tasks, as well as trainings, master classes, a hackathon, technical laboratories and an entertainment program – all this awaited the 77 students of the eleventh summer shift.

The summer school has been held since 2013 by the Interregional public organization ARSIB and with the support of the RuCTF organizing committee. CTF, or Capture the Flag (literally “capture the flag”) in cybersecurity, is a competition in the form of a team game, the main goal of which is to capture the “flag” from an opponent in conditions close to reality. Teams solve applied problems to obtain a unique combination of symbols – this is the flag. Next, participants send it to a special platform and receive a notification that the problem was solved correctly – or that it is worth trying again.

This is not the first time that RDP has partnered with CTF competitions. The company relies on talented young specialists who form a personnel reserve for the development of the Russian economy, since it considers cybersecurity one of the key factors in the digital and technological development of the country.
