Every 10th Russian aircraft has not taken to the skies for more than three months. Some of them could be dismantled for parts.
Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev assures that despite the sanctions in the aviation industry, everything is in order and the planes do not have to be cannibalized, that is, taken apart for parts so that other cars can fly at the expense of some. It seems the minister is lying.
🔹 The “Project” analyzed the data of the Flightradar air tracker and found out that for three months or more, at least 11.4% of the fleet of 12 leading companies has been idle on the ground – this is 80 out of 700 aircraft.
🔹 Our list of “idle” includes those aircraft that were previously reported – they were cannibalized. For example, Aeroflot’s newest aircraft Airbus 350 (Russian number RA-73156 ), which was delivered to Russia exactly on the day the war in Ukraine began, February 24, 2022.
🔹 The list compiled by the “Project” also included two “Superjet” of the airline “Yakutia”, about which it was also already known that they were dismantled for spare parts for other aircraft.
