NATIONAL ONLINE REFERENDUM FOR SELF-DETERMINATION OF THE REPUBLICS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
“Indigenous peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of this right, they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development ( from the United Nations Declaration of Rights ).
In accordance with the Federal Law of “On Basic Guarantees of Electoral Rights and the Right to Participate in a Referendum of Citizens of the Russian Federation”:
- – Participation of a citizen in elections and a referendum is free and voluntary.
- – No one has the right to influence a citizen of the Russian Federation in order to force him to participate or not to participate in elections and a referendum, or to prevent his free will.
- – A citizen of the Russian Federation who has reached the age of 18 has the right to vote in a referendum, participate in putting forward an initiative to hold a referendum, as well as in other legal actions for the preparation and holding of a referendum in the manner prescribed by this Federal Constitutional Law.
Initiative groups from different regions of the Russian Federation are holding a national online referendum on self-determination of the republics of the Russian Federation.
Residents of the following regions can take part in the National Online Referendum on Self-Determination of the Republics of the Russian Federation: Ingria, Koenigsberg, Kuban, Siberia, Ural.
