Ukrainian troops are in dire need of tanks for a counteroffensive. This is repeatedly discussed in the media. In particular, on the 9th Ramstein, the issue of supplying these combat vehicles as part of the “tank coalition” was discussed. Previously, they said that 8 countries would transfer tanks to Ukraine.
We have prepared an infographic about which tanks and in what quantity are on the balance sheet of different countries. The number of T-72 tanks is indicated without taking into account the Russian Federation, Belarus, and Syria: in total, they have more than 12,000 tanks in service, of which 75% are purely Russian stocks.
As you can see, there is no shortage of tanks in the partner countries. Why do you think they are so leisurely sharing them with Ukraine?
