Russian terrorist and mercenary from Moscow – Ihor Mangushev

We analyze the media situation surrounding the “execution” of the Russian terrorist Ihor Mangushev , namely, “execution” is what some Russian Telegram channels and Mangushev’s wife, who recorded a video message, call it an “execution”. They indicate that the angle at which the bullet was fired into Mangushev’s head = 45 degrees from top to bottom, that is, he was brought to his knees and shot in the head. The event happened, as they say, at one of the checkpoints in the deep rear of the occupied territory, in the town of Kadiyevka (the former name of the town of Stakhanov, Luhansk region) .

Here, it is worth mentioning that Mangushev was one of the leaders of the terrorist group ENOT CORP, which participated in aggression against Ukraine since 2014.

InformNapalm’s archival research indicated that in April 2015, ENOT corp mercenaries participated in the purges of the Cossack gangs of “Novorossiya” in the interests of the FSB of the Russian Federation . In 2017, InformNapalm also published data on the aggravation of contradictions between ENOT corp and the organization “Union of Donbas Volunteers” (SDD), which is under the care of Vladislav Surkov, and the well-known Russian neo-Nazi Oleksiy Milchakov is also included in the structure of the SDD .

Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but 2 weeks before Mangushev’s execution, Milchakov posted a video on his Telegram channel with a song dedicated to the one who is hiding in the rear in Stakhanov (a possible allusion to Mangushev).

That is, already at least 2 groups operating in Luhansk region (Cossack gang formations, which at one time “cleaned up” exactly militants from “ENOT corp” and SDD gang formations, which had a conflict of interests with “ENOT corp” ) had direct motives to execute Mangushev.

The Russian investigation accuses employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation of creating a criminal group consisting of Russian mercenaries ENOT corp, which fought in Donbas. This is reported by the publication “Meduza” in its special investigation. According to the investigation, the gang was created to attack groups of smugglers.

In the investigation materials, it is noted that in December 2016, employees of the special unit of the FSB conducted a raid against a group of smugglers who were engaged in the illegal import of smartphones and other expensive electronics in postal parcels to Russia . Armed militants from the “ENOT corp” organization, who previously participated in the war against Ukraine in the Donbass as part of the Russian hybrid forces, provided force support in the raid to the special services. It is interesting that the FSB, together with the ENOT corp militants, seized equipment from the smugglers, estimated at a total of 27 million rubles (approximately $430,000).

The members of “ENOT corp” got into the development of employees of the Office for the Protection of the Constitutional Order of the FSB. In August 2018, two members of the organization were detained after participating in a conflict over a land dispute.

In October 2019, a criminal case of banditry was opened against two employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation SKRZOTZ (Service for counter-intelligence support of transport and communication facilities) and the armed militants of ENOT corp., who facilitated them.

A total of 11 suspects were involved in the gang creation case. They could face up to 20 years in prison.

However, soon the FSB employees — Anton Baryakshev and Oleksandr Mryschuk — were released , despite the existence of a case. Only supporters of the “LDNR” remained under arrest, as well as a special forces fighter of the GRU of the Russian Federation, who accompanied them in the occupied Donbas ( note – even here the well-known internal confrontation of the “Kremlin towers”, competition and enmity between the FSB and the GRU of the Russian Federation can be seen )

On October 28, 2019, the head of the SC of the Russian Federation, Oleksandr Bastrykin, personally extended the investigation period in this case until February 2020. Investigators also plan to involve even more people in the case — in addition to the 11 already arrested. According to a Medusa source familiar with the investigation, the latest arrests took place in December.
