At the Engels-2 airfield, protective barriers appeared and the number of combat-capable aircraft decreased – pictures by Planet Labs
▪️On satellite images dated December 6, there were approximately 20 bombers at the airfield. As of January 7, their number has decreased to 6.
▪️At the moment, Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers are located at the Engels-2 airfield, which Russia actively uses to launch missiles over Ukraine.
▪️There is also a half-disassembled Tu-95, a transport plane and a passenger Tu-154.
▪️In addition, the Planet Labs satellite recorded that protective barriers appeared next to the runway at the airport. They are made to protect against debris from possible explosions.
