As a radioactive substance, uranium oxide can be used, which is in the composition of spent fuel elements that are stored in spent nuclear fuel storage facilities and spent fuel pools of nuclear power plants. In addition, radioactive substances from the spent nuclear fuel storage facilities of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant can be used.

According to the plans of the Moscow regime, the explosion of such a munition can be disguised as an abnormal operation of a Ukrainian low-yield nuclear munition, in which highly enriched uranium is used as a charge. The presence of radioactive isotopes in the air will later be recorded by the sensors of the International Monitoring System installed in Europe, with the subsequent accusation of the Ukraine of using tactical nuclear weapons.

▪️The Moscow regime has already completed technical preparations for a provocation with a “dirty bomb”: specialists from the Russia” have prepared a dummy rocket, which is planned to be filled with radioactive material, and then allegedly shot down over the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and announce the launch of a nuclear charge by the Ukrainian armed forces, told RIA Novosti a source familiar with the situation.

Russia has prepared a dummy missile of the Iskander complex, which is planned to be filled with radioactive material, and then supposedly shot down over the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant by Russian air defense forces and announce the launch of a nuclear charge by the Ukrainian armed forces.

He clarified that the dummy of the Iskander missile was made on the basis of the projectile of the Tochka-U missile system: “After the dummy is shot down, Moscow intends to show the media fragments of the mock-up and electronic elements of the alleged Iskander missile, to convince the public of Ukraine’s guilt.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry tried to pass off 12 years old photographs of the Slovenian Agency for Radioactive Waste as evidence of the preparation of a “dirty bomb” by Ukraine.

The department posted a tweet with a reference to the Ministry of Defense that 2 Ukrainian organizations were allegedly involved in the creation of such a bomb, and the work “is at the final stage.” Photos with some nuclear objects and packages were attached to the post, the contents of which were presented as filling for explosives.

Russian Foreign Ministry “reinforces” the information about the dirty bomb with some rotten photos of a nuclear waste storage facility in Slovenia from 2010.

The Slovenian government responded to the tweet. It reported that one of the images belongs to the Radioactive Waste Management Agency (ARAO). It was made in 2010. The picture was used in professional presentations as explanatory material, but it was taken without the knowledge of the ARAO.

As it turned out, several more shots used by the Foreign Ministry were taken by TASS at the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant in the Sverdlovsk region.
