Chinese Navy publicly demonstrates hypersonic anti-ship missile ahead of its 73rd anniversary celebration

For the first time, footage of the launch of the YJ-21 hypersonic missile (Yingzi-21, Eagle Strike-21) from the URO Type 055 destroyer has been published for the first time.

ک This missile, which is identified by many as the YJ-21 anti-ship ballistic missile and is thought to be related to the DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile or a version of its launch vehicle, is fired from the vertical silo of 055 class destroyers. This is the first time in the world that a ballistic missile has been fired from a surface float, greatly increasing the destroyer’s firepower and anti-ship / ground attack capabilities. On the other hand, it is the first hypersonic weapon of the Chinese launch ship that is displayed in public.
About two years ago, a report was published in a report of a session of the Chinese parliament examining the equipment of destroyers with anti-ship ballistic missiles, which, of course, was excluded from the classification report due to the confidentiality of the meeting. And has not avoided giving any explanation or details. In any case, this new experiment was probably carried out within the framework of this program, and this is just the beginning.

The ship- and air-based missile has a firing range of 1,000 to 1,500 km.

The rare display of weapons by the PLA could be seen as a strategic deterrent against the United States and Taiwan. Last week, the US AUG took part in a joint exercise with Japan off the coast of the Korean Peninsula.

Another interesting point of this video is the cold launch of this YJ-21 missile and its flight profile, which looks different from the DF-21D, which casts some doubt on the judgment of those who consider it related to the DF-21D, although it may The missile in question was really related to this missile and simply had a lot of changes, including in weight and maybe dimensions. In any case, if we assume that the performance of this missile (at least in terms of range) is not much different from the DF-21D, it should have a range of about 1500 km, which is a very significant figure, although I do not think it performed close to this missile. Yes, and I even have doubts about the relationship between the two. What is clear is the great new capability that this missile gives to the 055 destroyers in part, and to the Chinese Navy in general.
پرو The flight profile of the new rocket seems to be more in line with the Chinese slide show that is being shared on social media. It will not be easy for enemy ships to intercept and destroy it due to unpredictable maneuvers and ups and downs.

The demonstration of the YJ-21, using a Type 055 destroyer and a Hong-6N bomber, was sent to warn Washington and Taipei that the PLA had enough strategic options to prevent access and blockade territory.

A fresh photo of the Chinese Hong-6N strategic bomber from the 106th brigade of the PLA Air Force. On the suspension unit under the belly, the YJ-21 air-launched anti-ship ballistic missile is a threat to US carriers.

Beijing is concerned that US military assistance to Ukraine and the recent visit of a US delegation to Taiwan may lead Taipei to believe that Washington can provide the same assistance in the event of a conflict between China and Taipei.
