Criminal liability for photo and video recording of movements of servicemen, weapons and equipment is introduced in Ukraine. On March 24, the Verkhovna Rada supported the bill № 7189.
What is categorically impossible to publish on social networks
Rockets flying or hitting somewhere.
Names of streets, transport stops, shops, factories.
Moving of Ukrainian military, military facilities.
Air defense work.
Place of shelling or projectile hit.
Addresses, visual reference or coordinates of battles.
Numbers of cars, armored vehicles.
Victors or victims (except official data).
Such violations will be criminally liable, as it is aiding the enemy, even if it is not intentional.
What punishment is envisage
Penalty for dissemination of data on the direction or movement of weapons, ammunition on the territory of Ukraine, if such information is not made publicly available by the General Staff of the Armed Forces or the Ministry of Defense, or in official sources of relevant agencies, their location or movement, entails punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 5 years.
For disseminating information about the movement, movement or location of the Armed Forces, or military formations, if possible to identify them on the ground – imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
