Read Time:2 Minute, 11 Second

I know you’re looking at us now. You look with frightened eyes of Poland. Indecisive gestures of France. Calculated steps of Germany. Nervous cries of Latvia. Skeptical twitching of Hungary. Relaxed mugging of Italy. The silent silence of Israel. Distant cries of the United States and Canada. And through the eyes of hundreds of other countries.
You look awkward. You often look down. Especially when we shut down our children during the next rocket attacks.

And when you dare to raise your eyes, you look amazed. Looking at each other: do you hear what kind of Ukraine it is?

She is watered with hail, and she stands. She is covered with cruise missiles, and she is standing. Fucking tanks are rattling everywhere, and she’s standing.

She was directly told “aim veri sori and dipli concord, bat…”, and she was told “this, well, as you know, I went to shoot down the plane”. A nuclear button pushes the boundaries of her eyes, and she laughs and silently beats the Bandera strip.

The world is not breathing, the world is panicking to buy iodine, and she is standing. What kind of Ukraine is this? What was in her mother’s milk? What do thousands of volunteer hands feed these soldiers?

You know, world, but you really don’t know. And we, too, probably did not really know to this day. They did not know that we have such strength. Such a power. And such love. It always has been. It simply lay for years under the ruins of the scoop, the Russian measure, the feathers of the doves of peace and the branches of the trees of love. She lay and waited for it to explode. Do not explode with fear. Fear is what you feel today, world. And we feel something else.

We feel anger. For every child killed. For every mutilated fate. For each burned city. For every ruined dream. And this rage gives us strength.

We feel free. For the first time. Truly. So sharp and strong. Naked, vulnerable and at the same time such a powerful freedom. And this freedom gives us strength.

We feel love. Oh, how we feel love. When there are no relatives and strangers. When everyone is as native as possible. When millions of hands methodically pave the way to victory, each in his place. And this love gives us strength.

Therefore, world, do not be afraid. We are on guard. And if you are suddenly ashamed to ask, we will say for ourselves: yes, spring will come, and it will be yellow and blue. Whether you’re scared or not
