Photos of Rwandan Armed Forces patrolling the coast of the Afunji Peninsula in Kabu Delgado province have appeared online.  Until recently, the area nearby was in the hands of Islamic State militants.  Recently, however, the government military and their allies ousted IS fighters from there.  The troops intend to secure the construction of infrastructure for the extraction and processing of natural gas as soon as possible, which had to be suspended due to the ISIS attacks.

The representative of the Rwandan Armed Forces praised the work of the country’s military.  According to him, during the CTO in Mozambique, the Rwandans managed to eliminate at least seventy IS militants.
