On December 6, 2020, the optical satellite for Earth remote sensing Gaofen-14 was successfully launched into orbit in China.
The satellite was launched at 11:58 local time (06:58 Moscow time) using a Long March-3B (CZ-3B) launch vehicle from the Xichang cosmodrome (southwestern Sichuan province). It is noted that Gaofen-14 will allow taking high-resolution images of terrestrial objects, which will help in creating 3D maps. This launch marks the 354th launch for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
