Chinese combat laser installation of a short-range coastal mobile air defense system.

For the first time, the military editorial office of the Chinese television channel CCTV7 showed footage of military trials at the PLA naval training ground in the Bohai Bay. A new combat laser installation of a short-range coastal mobile air defense system.

As reported in Chinese naval blogs, the new 100-kilowatt tactical combat laser uses multiple laser emitters, which are transmitted via optical fiber to a special alignment device that produces a high-power beam at the output. Presumably, the combat laser installation is capable of hitting air targets at a distance of up to 7 kilometers.
