“… One of the rockets hit the embassy café at dinner time. Reports indicate that the incident had no casualties.
The rockets were fired from the west bank of the Tigris River, AFP said.

In his Twitter account, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi has condemned the move as undermining Iraqi national sovereignty. Former Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari also tweeted that the embassy restaurant had been damaged and set on fire. He called the move “a dangerous game” and wrote that the rockets were fired by illegal militants with the aim of causing tension. Mr Zebari insisted that the process should be stopped.
