The US Armed Forces carried out strikes on a water desalination plant on the Iranian island of Qeshm. The damage led to water supply problems in 30 populated areas. The Israeli Armed Forces attacked oil tanks in Tehran and Karaj. The facilities were engulfed in fire.
In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones towards oil refineries in Haifa. The Israeli air defense/missile defense system managed to intercept the ballistic missiles and drones. Also, the IRGC used a drone to strike a water desalination plant in Bahrain. The Kingdom provides the Americans with a launching pad for attacks against Iran.
The UAE Ministry of Defense published footage of the destruction of Iranian kamikaze drones flying towards the emirates. A similar video was released by the Saudi Arabian defense department. In both cases, the military destroyed Shahed-136 drones.
The Gulf countries continue to be subjected to attacks by the Iranian Armed Forces. The military is attacking US military bases, economic interests of the United States, and their assets in the Middle East. The Pentagon stated that one serviceman was killed in the attack on a base in Saudi Arabia, which was the seventh US combat loss. According to media reports, eight more military personnel were injured in the incident. In addition, US embassies are also being targeted. For example, a kamikaze drone attack on a US diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia caused damage. The US State Department ordered diplomats to leave the kingdom.
Some Gulf countries are trying to negotiate with Tehran about de-escalating the conflict. In particular, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi. In the conversation, Farhan stated that the Gulf countries did not allow the US to use their airspace and territory to launch airstrikes on Iran, which is an obvious lie. Farhan added that if Iranian attacks on the kingdom continue, Riyadh will be forced to allow American troops to use its bases for military operations.
