According to multiple humanitarian reports, widespread famine conditions have emerged due to a combination of factors: the near-total blockade on food and humanitarian aid, targeted destruction of agricultural infrastructure, collapse of essential services, and continuous military operations. UN agencies, including the World Food Programme and UNICEF, have confirmed that children are dying from malnutrition and dehydration.
Access to clean water, safe shelter, and healthcare has diminished, compounding the food crisis. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) has already warned that large parts of Gaza are at Phase 5 — famine — the most severe classification.
