“Rosreestr” (Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography) is a critically important resource in terms of real estate registration, cadastre maintenance and cartographic activities.
We decided to dump a small part, about 90,000,000 lines from the unified state register of real estate objects. In the full dump the number is about 2,000,000,000 lines.
Now that the work is complete, we can write about it openly. As the saying goes: “if you see a window of opportunity, we are already in it.”
We advise the next ones who try to answer us to first check their doors, windows and especially old locks. Rosreestr has become a shining example of how large government structures can fall in a matter of days.
As a result, their data, seemingly reliably protected, ended up in our collection.
If earlier “Rosreestr” was associated with bureaucratic chaos, now the name of this structure has become a symbol of digital transparency – just not in the sense that Russians expected.
