The task of the 2S6 Tunguska anti-aircraft missile and gun system is to protect motorized rifle and tank units from enemy air attacks. The system can shoot down any low-flying air targets, from cruise missiles and helicopters to guided bombs and unmanned reconnaissance aircraft.

Armament: two 30-mm anti-aircraft guns 2A38, 8 missiles 9M311.

Radar system: a circular scanning station that can detect air targets at a range of up to 20 km.
Engine power: 710 hp.
Highway speed: 65 km/h.
Cruising range on the highway: 500 km.





The Tunguska was used during the Chechen wars as a means of fire support.
