Russian volunteer detachment Bars-Belgorod

Chinese war correspondent Liu Yuguang filmed a long report on the training of the Russian volunteer detachment “Bars-Belgorod”

The detachment is being formed by the Russian Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the government of the Belgorod region.

Local volunteers aged 18 to 55 are recruited. Training is provided by instructors with combat experience.

Volunteer unit “Bars-Belgorod” is being created in Belgorod region

As the Russian Ministry of Defense writes, the fighters will be tasked with protecting and defending vital infrastructure facilities and socially significant infrastructure, combating drones and sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as ensuring evacuation and the operation of the counter-terrorism operation regime.

🔻 The squad’s tasks include:
▪️ protection and defense of the territory of the Belgorod region adjacent to the Russian-Ukrainian border;
▪️ protection of key civil infrastructure facilities;
▪️ combating enemy drones and sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG).

🔻 The detachment consists of:
▪️ special groups to counter sabotage and reconnaissance groups;
▪️ mobile unit for the evacuation of civilians;
▪️ units of drone control operators, as well as law enforcement during the introduction of a counter-terrorism operation regime.

Liu Yuguang got acquainted with the training of the detachment on site. In particular, he attended classes on tactical training, where trainees practiced storming trenches, engineering and fire training. Much attention is paid to training drone operators and providing first aid for injuries.
