Rusich is a neo-Nazi (or at least closely associated with Nazism) group that took an active part on the side of Russia and the separatists in the war in Donbass in 2014-2015. and participating in hostilities as part of the Russian army in the 2022 invasion.
- symbolism
The Rusich group and its members use a lot of Nazi symbols, both overtly neo-Nazi symbols and symbols that, while not exclusively Nazi, are common among neo-Nazis.

Also, members of the Rusich group Nazi use symbols on an individual basis (see below).
2. Participants
The size of the Russian group is unknown. In a 2020 interview, Rusich commander Aleksey Milchakov said that their number was not disclosed, but also stated that he had several dozen people under his command [16].
After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, on their pages in social networks, the DSHRG “Rusich” announced replenishment [17][18][19], therefore it can be assumed that now their number is higher than it was in 2020.
On their page on the social network Vkontakte, they say that the Rusich project consists of several subgroups – two combat units and one training base:

The most famous members of the Rusich group are commanders Alexei Milchakov and Yan Petrovsky, as well as a certain Evgeny Rasskazov with the call sign Topaz. In addition to them, the identities of several more members of the group are known.

In a 2020 interview, Milchakov identified himself as a Nazi:
More excerpts from Milchakov’s interview. He declares his love for murder, relishes the suffering of Ukrainian women and children, quotes Mussolini, speaks of his lack of moral restrictions and says that the smell of charred human corpses can increase his appetite:
Screenshots from Milchakov’s page on the social network Vkontakte:

In an interview [83], Milchakov confirmed that there were many National Socialists (Nazis) in the Russian-separatist troops in the war in Donbass:

Yan Petrovsky (St. Petersburg, lived in Norway for a long time), call sign “Slavyan”, deputy commander of the Rusich DShRG

With Russian State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev:

Evgeny Rasskazov (Donetsk), callsign “Topaz”
On April 20, he congratulated Hitler on his birthday:

In an interview with the Russian nationalist resource Tsargrad, Rasskazov said that when he kills Ukrainians, he experiences sexual arousal:
Commenting on the infamous video of the Russians first cutting off the genitals of a captured Ukrainian fighter and then killing him, Rasskazov said he approved of it:

The castration and murder of a captured Ukrainian soldier was also approved on the telegram channel of the DShRG “Rusich”:

Of course, they did not provide any evidence for their words that the Ukrainian army allegedly “does this,” and even “on a massive scale.” “Believe me,” they say.
Rasskazov also suggested taking Ukrainian children into slavery:

Of course, Rasskazov denies Ukraine’s right to exist:

Interesting fact: Rasskazov makes a repost from Anatoly Shariy’s telegram channel:

This says more about Shariy than about Rusich, but just in case, let’s leave it here.

On its Telegram page, the Rusich group openly called for the bombing of residential areas of cities in the west and in the center of Ukraine:

And here they once again rejoice at the thought that Ukrainian children are becoming orphans:

They threaten with massacres the inhabitants of Kherson because they treat the occupiers as occupiers:

They write that they just love the war, and for them it doesn’t matter for what purpose it is being waged:

They call for the killing of witnesses to crimes:

They threaten to repeat the massacre in Bucha (while denying that the Russian military did it):

They also call to torture and kill captured Ukrainians, and to sell information about burial places to relatives:

Any self-respecting Nazis deny the right to exist of any people. The neo-Nazi group Rusich is no exception:

After posts with calls to torture and kill captives, Telegram removed their channel. They immediately created a new one, in which publications continued in the same vein:

They deleted the post with a proposal to kill Ukrainian children, but it was saved in time in the archive [131].
On its page on the social network Vkontakte, the Rusich group mentions its like-minded people:

We will try to tell about other neo-Nazi groups and organizations closely associated with Nazism that are fighting on the side of Russia against Ukraine in other materials.
4. Participation in the War in Ukraine
The Rusich group gained its first notoriety in September 2014, after it shot down a small convoy of the Ukrainian Aidar battalion from an ambush.
The video and photos from the scene show that the Rusich members carved their Kolovrat swastika on the cheek of one of the few Ukrainian fighters who survived then:

Milchakov was photographed that day with the cut off ear of a Ukrainian fighter:

In 2015, the Rusich group left the territory of Ukraine. Between 2015 and 2022, they managed to fight in Syria.

And Libya.

In 2022 they returned to Ukraine.

Judging by their records in social networks, they were in the Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions.
In May and June they were in Izyum.

Given their sadistic tendencies, it can be assumed that they may be involved in the killing and torture of Ukrainian civilians, whose bodies were found in mass graves after the liberation of Izyum in September.
The participation of the “Rusich” group in the hostilities is confirmed by statements in their social networks about the dead and wounded [145 – 148].
5. Support and recognition
At the beginning of the war in the Donbas, the Rusich DShRG was part of the Batman armed group [14], known for torturing people in a basement in Luhansk [152], and then a part of the Viking group [153]. In Syria and Libya, the Rusich group was part of the Wagner Group (see below).
In 2014, they had at least one armored personnel carrier.

The InformNapalm intelligence community, analyzing the video of the Rusich DSHRG moving in an armored personnel carrier, concludes that this is a modernized Russian BTR-80 [155].

Judging by the photo on their Instagram page, in 2021 (when they were not in Ukraine) they used BMPs:

In 2022, they may also have heavy equipment in Ukraine:

They have at least one Tiger armored car. Its affiliation with DShRG “Rusich” is evidenced by their logo on the doors:

We have already shown their Kamaz with a neo-Nazi code above.
Analyzing the use by the Rusich group of the shooting range of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and the airfield of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the New America analytical center concludes that Rusich at least enjoys the tacit support of the Kremlin, if not directly controlled by the state [163].
There is nothing surprising in the Rusich group’s use of Russian technology and government infrastructure, given that they are probably (and certainly were) part of the Wagner Group.
In addition to evidence of close ties between Rusich and the Wagner Group [190-194], there is a direct statement by the pro-Wagner telegram channel Gray Zone that in 2020 in Libya, the Rusich group was part of the Wagner Group. [189].
The so-called “Wagner PMC” is not a PMC at all, but a unit in the Russian army. There is much evidence of at least close ties between the Wagner Group and the Russian state, if not its direct subordination to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation [198 – 223]. Russian sources supporting the war speak directly about the use of heavy equipment, artillery and aviation by the Wagner Group:

The commanders of the “Rusich” group calmly appear on Russian television.

Not to mention the television of the puppet occupation regimes.

The first leader of the puppet “DPR” attended the training session of “Rusich”, where he spoke approvingly [172] about the grouping.

Borodai is photographed with the participants of the DSHR “Rusich”:

The head of the occupying power of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, shakes hands with the Nazi Milchakov:

Russian-separatist propagandists write and show videos about Rusich:

It is interesting that Vladlen Tatarsky admits [178] that “Rusich” are fascists, but, apparently, he thinks that they are good fascists:

According to Tatarsky, Milchakov ended up in the army under Putin’s personal patronage:

In addition to state, media and information support, the Rusich group also enjoys the support of ordinary citizens who transfer considerable amounts of money to them:

On the Rusich page on the VKontakte social network, there are photos in which they apparently teach children:

According to the Belarusian resources “Nasha Niva” and “Radio Svaboda” [173][181], the participants of “Rusich” trained Belarusian schoolchildren.
