The Anonymous KSA group announced the implementation of a devastating cyber attack on the data storage units of the government agency UIDAI in India. The attack resulted in access to sensitive information and completely disrupted the system.
Millions of Indian personal databases and ID cards were stolen, and 200 records were published as documentation of the attack. The remaining data is for sale, and what was published represents only 0.1% of the stolen data.
The group is currently updating its security systems, as it tested the update on several government websites, which led to the complete disruption of these sites. The update raises major concerns that it can harm any website, raising concerns about digital security in India.
