A 3-day presidential election has begun in Russia (not a single anti-war candidate was allowed to participate in it – Astra’s note)
Also, “elections” are being held illegally in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. This is a violation under the Fourth Geneva Convention.





What is known so far:
- — In Voronezh, ballots were thrown into the ballot box before the opening of the polling station
- — In Khanty-Mansiysk, near polling station No. 288, police detained volunteer Polina Zmanovskaya, who was conducting an exit poll at the exit from the polling station from the Civil Initiative party. Reasons unknown
- — CCTV cameras at polling stations have been turned off throughout the Altai Territory
- — In occupied Luhansk, they reported queues at “polling stations”
- — In Belgorod, due to the missile threat, people who came to vote were forced to leave the polling station and go to shelter
- — In Vankarem, Chukotka, people are fed pancakes at a polling station
- — In the village of Taptugary, Trans-Baikal Territory, workers from one of the local enterprises were brought to vote in PEC 2313 during working hours in overalls.
- — A portrait of Putin was covered with a sheet at a polling station in Voronezh due to a complaint from an independent observer about illegal campaigning
- — The remote electronic voting system (DEG) has been switched to electronic queue mode due to an “unprecedented number of people wishing to vote,” according to the service’s website
