Employees of IT companies from January 22 to February 6 will be able to apply through State Services for a deferment from military service as part of the spring conscription of 2024.

The employer will see the applications in his personal account on the portal and, if the information about the employee is correct, will confirm them. If an employee does not have a personal account or does not send his data, the organization will be able to add him to the list independently.

What else do you need to know

• ➖ the company will need to check the data of employees, confirm them and send the lists to the Ministry of Digital Development by February 10 through State Services
• ➖ Several lists may be sent from one organization as they are formed

The Ministry of Digital Development will transmit the information to the Ministry of Defense by March 2. From April 1 to July 15, the draft commission will make decisions on deferments.

Criteria for including specialists in the lists:

• Russian citizenship, male gender
• age – from 18 to 30 years
• work under an employment contract, normal working hours
• higher education in a specialty from the list
• work in accredited IT companies for at least 11 months during the year preceding the start date of the call.

The company must be accredited before February 10, 2024

There is no requirement for a period of work in an accredited IT company if the specialist gets a job within a year after graduation.

Note. A citizen is not subject to conscription if he turned 27 years old before December 31, 2023 and was enlisted in the reserves due to reaching this age.

Acceptance of applications for IT deferment from conscript service has begun

The State Services portal has opened applications from IT specialists for a deferment from military service as part of the spring conscription. You can submit your application until February 6th.

The employer will see the applications in his personal account. He must check the data of employees and send the lists to the Ministry of Digital Development by February 10. If the employee does not submit an application, the employer can add him to the list himself.

The Ministry of Digital Development will transmit the information to the Ministry of Defense by March 2. From April 1 to July 15, the draft commission will make decisions on deferments.
