Now our easy-to-install (no soldering required, all necessary tools included, installs in 20 minutes) boards for substituting a GPS signal (“GPS-faker”) are available for the DJI Matrice 300
The board has the following features:
- 1. Two operating modes: “Set constant coordinates” / “GPS imitation” (work without GPS – the entire flight, the drone’s location coordinates are static, so the drone is not susceptible to GPS spoofing attacks (substitution of coordinates, i.e. “hijacking”) and “Drone displacement” (GPS is used, but with a shift from real coordinates; in this case, the drone may be subject to “hijacking”);
- 2. Take-off and flight without satellites or in conditions of their suppression (“fast take-off”);
- 3. Makes it possible to bypass the NFZ (No Fly Zone) restriction by shifting coordinates;
- 4. Makes it possible to enable FCC mode (increases the communication range with the drone) through a coordinate shift;
- 5. Avoids broadcasting the drone’s true coordinates via DRONE ID.
The board’s operating modes are controlled both using microswitches on the board itself and via Wi-Fi via any smartphone.
It is important to note that the board does NOT block broadcasting of the coordinates of the remote control/phone (that is, the operator) via DRONE ID!
The boards are already being distributed to service centers and repair centers, as well as directly to departments.
The message below contains instructions for installing the boards and operating them.

“GPS faker” for Matrice 300 RTK
Installation instructions
The GPS Faker board is required to change the signals from the drone’s GPS module transmitted to the drone’s motherboard. This allows you to avoid broadcasting the drone’s true coordinates via DRONE ID, as well as leave the NFZ (No-Fly Zone) or implement a coordinate shift to Canada to enable the FCC mode (5.8 GHz frequency and high data transmission power are used, increasing the communication range with the drone) .
The “GPS-faker” board supports 2 operating modes:
1. Simulation of GPS (“Setting constant coordinates”). The drone does not depend on the real GPS signal (it works even when the GPS signal is “muffled”; it receives virtual coordinates in China or Canada). In this mode, returning to the Home Point does not work; the track may not be displayed on the map. The drone becomes immune to GPS spoofing attacks (substitution of coordinates, i.e. “hijacking”).
2. Coordinate shift (“Drone shift”). There is a “shift” in the real coordinates transmitted from the GPS module to the drone’s motherboard. The drone thinks its location is in China or Canada and shows its location on the map. The program displays the correct track, but shifted to another country. In the “Coordinate Shift” mode, returning to the Home Point works, but the drone may be vulnerable to a GPS spoofing attack (coordinate substitution), i.e. he can be “hijacked”.
The “GPS-faker” board does not block the broadcast of the coordinates of the remote control/phone (i.e. operator) via DRONE ID!
The board is mounted without soldering through a gap connection through the standard connectors of the GPS module and the motherboard cable.

Required tools:
1. Hexagon 2 (H2)
2. Hexagon 2.5 (H2.5)
3. Screwdriver Philips-00 (PHOO)
Installation procedure for the GPS faker board:
1. Disconnect the batteries from the drone.
2. Unscrew 2 H2.5 screws securing the camera gimbal on the front cover of the drone
