In the war against Hamas, the IDF uses many different advanced capabilities, most of which are not shown to the general public and remain known only in narrow military circles. The atmosphere of secrecy gives rise to many rumors, from pseudoscientific to outright nonsense. For example, here is a video of the presentation of an Israeli snake robot – actually an underground drone. There are air, sea and land ones, so why not underground drones? In a video shown on Israeli television, they say that the robot already exists and can perform both reconnaissance functions and carry explosives, delivering them to the most secluded and inaccessible places. It also says that mass production of this snake robot will begin soon. And now the moment is 2009. This video is one of many. And just in those years, in the Russian Federation on REN TV (and not only) there was a sharp increase in the number of expert palmists who began to talk about various Israeli robots, up to … drum roll … combat insect robots (yes, the topic of combat mosquitoes haunted the Russians not only long before the age of 22, but also until the age of 14), who “fly, penetrate, kill, do whatever is necessary.” This is a quote, if anyone is interested, google it, I’ll leave it to you to enjoy such a quest. Rumors, of course, tend to circulate; through Russian experts, they were leaked to the Palestinians (who come to study in the ex-USSR), and sometimes acquired the most exotic variations in the format of a damaged phone.
