In Australia, 4 DP World port terminals ceased operations due to a cyber attack
Interesting that the company, part of Dubai’s state-owned DP World employing 7000 people in 18 locations
A few days ago, operations at container terminals in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantly were reportedly suspended as a result of a cyber attack. Port operator DP World Australia has been forced to shut down port operations since Friday.
“The cyber incident at DP World is serious and ongoing,” said Home Secretary Claire O’Neill.
About 40% of all goods into the country are imported through DP World Australia. Australian Federal Police said they were investigating the incident but declined to provide details. DP World does not risk voicing an approximate amount of damage.
