Improved version of BTR-82A
At the ARMY-2023 exhibition, the Russians unveiled an improved version of the BTR-82A personnel carrier/infantry combat vehicle.
According to the pictures, in this version, unlike other old members of the BTR family, the engine has been moved to the right front of the chassis, following the example of Western wheeled personnel carriers such as Stryker and Pishran. At the end of the chassis, there are two doors for the exit of troops.
According to the claims of Russian sources, the level of protection in the above armor has been somewhat improved and this armor has the ability to carry 10 people (2 armored personnel carriers – 8 soldiers).
