Runet may prohibit registration on sites with foreign e-mail
Vedomosti reports that the State Duma proposed to ban registration on Russian websites using foreign electronic mail services. If adopted, it will enter into force on 1 December.
There are only 4 legal ways to register:
1️⃣ by the phone number of the Russian telecom operator, through the single portal “Gosuslug,” ( Government Services

2️⃣ through the Unified Biometric System,
3️⃣ through a single portal “Gosuslug,”
4️⃣ through the use of another information system, such as VKontakte, or mail on Russian services – Mail ru.
This decision should significantly reduce the intelligence capabilities of foreign intelligence services and protect Russian citizens from their influence . In addition, the authorization system will become an element of fraud prevention using the Internet.
