Information war surrounding the Kakhovskaya HPP

In the information war on the Kakhovskaya HPP in the world media, Ukraine lost. Unfortunately, this is a fact. After all, those responsible for information operations in the government are used to putting pressure on emotions, behind which logic is lost. In Ukraine, it works – for example, they can lie without a clue and make a person a major drug addict. But in a democratic world – no. They believe the facts, not their interpretation.

The information war surrounding the Kakhovskaya HPP looks like this now:

Ukraine: the Russians did it because it is profitable for them; Russia: Ukrainians did it because it is profitable for them.

Word against word. But instead of emotions, it was necessary to build a position on facts:

1. The dam is seriously damaged, and not the metal curtains, but the concrete base.
2. The dam is made of a very thick layer of concrete. What can destroy this concrete?
   1. Himars? No – remember the photo of the Antonivsky Bridge after the shooting by Himars. There are thin concrete slabs, and the rockets only punched holes. And here – thick concrete walls
   2. Bombs? No, the planes were not flying, otherwise there would be radar signals and enemy air defense would be working. This was not the case
   3. Any more powerful missiles? First, you still need a few of them. And, most importantly, they would not be able to make a breakthrough with a width of 177 m in such a structure. Yes, there are video cameras on the dam. There would be records of the arrival of missiles. At once. But – they are not there
   4. Explosives? So. But, no “combat divers” will attract so many imperceptibly. Swimming close to the dam is suicide. There are solid positions of the occupiers. And since such destruction requires several tons of explosives, someone would have noticed the barge with the cargo. The truck with explosives from Ukraine also disappears – the Russians completely controlled the entrance to the dam. And only the occupiers had access to the inside of the dam.

That’s all. If it is clearly explained, laid out on the shelves, with a recording from the satellite, about which so many spears have been broken, with evidence and expertise – there would be no doubts. And so – we only have opposing waves of emotions. And the government’s complete misunderstanding of how to apply logic and evidence, which in Ukraine has been replaced by a controlled single post-truth for a year.
