The head of Wagner, Prigozhin, confirmed that the western outskirts of Bakhmut were overrun by Russian troops and again passed control of the ZSU.
One “moment” is important here. I have repeatedly reported (and I repeat once again): Bakhmut was not completely controlled by either Russian troops or Russian mercenaries for a second. Territorially, Bakhmut of the Russian Federation did not take and will never be able to take.
Prigozhin is acting in his “political line”: I reported that Prigozhin would seize the maximum, replace mercenaries in the RF Armed Forces under the control of the Ministry of Defense, after which the failure in the defense of the Bakhmut ruins would be transferred to Shoigu’s department.
Another important detail: Prigozhin was given the opportunity to get his feet out of Bakhmut. The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have the opportunity to “sew up the bag.” But the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation that replaced them are in a clearly worse position, since they will no longer have a chance to get out in relative safety.
The MO led its warriors like cattle into a mousetrap. And this mousetrap is about to slam shut. But the damage from this blow will be deafening.
First of all, Russia will suffer enormous losses.
Secondly, Russia will suffer incomparable information damage.
The only winner in Russia will be Prigozhin, who believes that the image of the “People’s President” suits him.
