The deputies prepared a number of amendments to the bill already adopted in the first reading. Initially, the document concerned elections in the territories of Ukraine controlled by the Russian authorities, adopted by the State Duma as part of the Russian Federation, but now most of the new amendments concern Russia as a whole.
It is proposed to introduce a ban on campaigning through Internet resources, access to which is restricted by Roskomnadzor. The already adopted document spells out the norm on photography and video filming during voting, which can only be taken by persons who have the right to do so “in accordance with the federal law on elections”:
