EU wants to shut down Kaspersky Lab
EU countries propose to ban the work of Kaspersky Lab as part of sanctions against Russia. It is reported by Bloomberg with reference to a senior diplomat.
“Five countries are in favor of a ban on the work of Kaspersky Lab in the European Union as part of the tightening of sanctions,” the agency said in a statement.
It is proposed to completely ban EU companies from cooperating with Kaspersky Lab, tighten existing restrictions on the export of technologies, and expand the list of technological goods prohibited for the supply.
EU experts also recommend a ban on the export of data processing systems, storage devices and certain types of electronics.
