The judge and jury of the Stockholm District Court on Thursday, July 23, 1401, after 9 months of investigation, sentenced Hamid Nouri, accused of involvement in the mass execution of political prisoners. He announced in the summer of 1967.
On Thursday, the court approved the sentence of life imprisonment for Mr. Nouri.
This is the first time that after more than three decades of the mass execution of political prisoners in the summer of 1967 in Iranian prisons, one of the accused in this case has been tried and convicted.
Earlier, the Swedish prosecutor had accused Nouri of “war crime” and “intentional murder” and demanded a sentence of “life imprisonment” for him.
Hamid Nouri known as “Hamid Abbasi”, the former assistant prosecutor of Gohardasht prison, was tried in Sweden for 9 months on the two main charges of “international war crime” and “intentional murder”
