⚠️Attention! Fraudsters are trying to steal payment card data using the issue of financial assistance from the UN
The government’s Computer Emergency Response Team CERT-UA, which operates under the auspices of the State Special Service, warns of a new fraudulent scheme.
▪️A fraudulent page simulating the resource of the TSN TV channel was found on the social network Facebook. The page offers to take part in the survey. To do this, follow the link and allegedly receive “financial assistance under the UN social program.” In the future, the user will be asked to provide personal information and make an additional payment.
As a result, your payment card information will be compromised.
▪️The State Special Communications warns:
1. Never enter payment card details on unfamiliar and suspicious websites. Set up cash flow control (connect SMS notifications, set limits on transactions).
2. If your payment card information is entered incorrectly on a fraudulent website, immediately block your payment card using a mobile application, a bank hotline (the phone number is on the back of the card) or via internet banking.
3. Remember to always follow the basic rules of cyber hygiene.
✔️I will remind, in April swindlers used the similar scheme. At that time, they pretended to be the popular TV channel Ukraine 24 and used the topic of “financial assistance from EU countries”.
