Tikhonova is also a graduate of Moscow State University, during her studies she established herself as an active volunteer, participating in university projects, thanks to which, after graduation, she received an offer to stay at the university and work in her system. It was at this time, according to blogger Oleg Kashin, who conducted his own investigation into the personality of the president’s daughter, that Ekaterina took the name Tikhonov.
Ekaterina is known as the author of several scientific papers created jointly with Viktor Sadovnichy. The scope of his scientific interests is the study of the capabilities of the human brain and subconsciousness in extreme conditions, the correction of emerging behavioral disorders with the involvement of the theory of disciplines such as mathematics, mechanics, psychology, physiology and medicine.
Tikhonova’s work on this topic has been repeatedly presented at scientific seminars and conferences. In August 2012, the National Intellectual Reserve Center (CNIR) appeared on the basis of Moscow State University, headed by Ekaterina Vladimirovna.
“Our task is to create mechanisms for involving young scientists in the process of transferring their scientific developments to the next stages, up to industrial implementation,” the head of the Central Research and Development Center said in an interview with Interfax in 2015.
At the end of 2012, the National Fund for Intellectual Development was established to support young scientists and their projects, as well as to provide legal and technical support to the Central Research Center. Both institutions are united under the NPO Innopraktika brand to conduct both scientific and commercial activities.
