The event – the failure of crops in Ukraine will lead to famine of 1 billion people, the global humanitarian crisis, the migration crisis in the EU.
What does it mean :
Ukraine – 11% of the export market of wheat, 18% of corn, 19% of barley, 30% of world production of sunflower oil;
If Russia does not stop the war immediately, sowing in Ukraine will fail. Then Ukraine will largely or even completely fall out as a supplier of grain and other agricultural products;
In order to provide for its own population, the Government of Ukraine suspended the export of rye, oats, sugar, and restricted the export of wheat, corn, chickens, eggs, and sunflower oil. In conditions of war, this is the only right decision to ensure Ukraine’s food security;
Grain from Ukraine is mostly supplied to the densely populated countries of North and Central Africa, the Middle East and South Asia;
From Ukraine – 22% of grain in Morocco (37 million population), 26% in Egypt (100 million population), 21% in Nigeria (200 million population). The share of Ukrainian corn in the Indonesian market (280 million population) – 31%, in the Bangladesh market – 27% (165 million population);
It will not be possible to compensate for the colossal deficit – Canada and the United States will sell to more solvent markets, Argentina and Brazil will have a crop failure this year;
If Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine is not stopped immediately, there will be a famine in a macro-region with a population of 1 billion people;
The consequences will be:
global destabilization;
global humanitarian crisis;
