Friends! Critical and social infrastructure facilities in the capital are operating in a mode of preparation for work in the event of a possible emergency. Kyiv is a big metropolis. And it has an extensive and complex life support infrastructure, the stable operation of which in an emergency situation is perhaps the most important task.
Therefore, our efforts are aimed at preventing or overcoming both possible provocations and withstanding a military attack.
In coordination with NEC Ukrenergo, we found opportunities and provided additional electricity production at our CHPs. December-January there are 3-4 units in constant operation. This allows to ensure uninterrupted energy supply to Kyiv. First of all, medical institutions, enterprises of critical infrastructure, institutions of the social sphere.
Fuel reserves have been created, electric generators have been installed for uninterrupted operation in the emergency situation of the city management systems and thermal power plants of the capital for a period of up to 10 days. Businesses have a guaranteed uninterrupted connection in the absence of mobile communications and the Internet.
Improves the capital and the notification system, which covers both the staff of city services and the population. They have also developed a new alert system, which has no analogues in Ukraine. We plan to allocate almost UAH 11 million from the city budget for its construction.
The number of shelters has tripled in the last few years. In total, the fund of civil protection structures includes more than 500 storage facilities and almost 4,500 dual-use structures (underground car parks and crossings, deep metro stations, basements and semi-basements).
