According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, in 2021 the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received more than 5 thousand new and modernized types of weapons, military and special equipment, among them:
900 armored combat vehicles;
3 modern submarines, including the Prince Oleg nuclear submarine armed with Bulava ballistic missiles;

• 4 surface ships, 10 combat boats, 17 ships and support boats;
• 151 units of new and modernized aviation equipment, including 77 aircraft, 29 helicopters, 45 complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles;
• 4 upgraded missile carriers Tu-95MS;
• 3 DBK “Bastion”;
• ZRPK “Pantsir-S”;
• ZRS S-400 “Triumph” and S-350 “Vityaz”.

In addition, the re-equipment of the first missile regiment with the Avangard missile system with intercontinental ballistic missiles equipped with hypersonic glide wing units has been completed.

A separate aviation regiment was formed, armed with MiG-31I (K) aircraft with the Kinzhal hypersonic missile.
