It is known in the international community that Mahan Air and Venezuela have been carrying out deliveries, that according to Mahan Air only include legitimate engineering equipment. However, we have obtained information that shows the extent of the business between Venezuela and Mahan Air is quite substantial, and that the goods sent are not at all limited to “engineering equipment” …

The following report shows how during 2020, Mahan Air flew sixteen Airbus A340 jetliner flights to and from Venezuela. If this seems like a small number of flights, you’ll soon learn this is enough to transfer approximately 544 thousand kilos of equipment, weapons, or nearly anything else.

The information from Mahan’s network, as well as Mahan Air’s affiliation with QF (as proven in our prior publications), strengthen the existing suspicion of the connection between the IRGC-QF and Venezuela.vacancies,,,

Regarding the goods which comprise those 544 tons, Mahan Air claim that these are equipment for refineries in Venezuela. However, according to information we obtained, this is false, and the truth is actually very different.

This spreadsheet from the Mahan servers, shows Mahan reported they transfer tens of tons of medicine on each flight to Venezuela.

This seemed reasonable, and we thought we might have hit a dead end, yet once again, according to information we obtained, this turned out to be a false report, and the actual cargo is entirely different again.

Following is an internal Mahan Air email which states that the goods transported to Venezuela are in fact gold (as well as some animals prohibited for export). We assess that this may be a method used to circumvent sanctions for the Iranians and Venezuelans. In addition, this email details the exact weight of cargo which can be shipped aboard each of these flights.

This kind of secretive activity can’t be carried out as a regular passenger flight leg, and the substantial involvement of Mahan Air’s CEO (Hamid Arab-Nejad) indicates that he is deeply involved with QF, and uses his company for covert and illegal purposes. The attached official letter showcases Hamid Arab-Nejad and the Mahan Air Company’s connection to petrol deals with Venezuela. Specifically in the sale of 5 million petrol barrels to Venezuela, or approximately 800 million liters of petrol (or 210 million gallons). You’re welcome to calculate the value of this deal next time you fill up at a gas station.

We are still uncertain of actual goods transferred by Mahan Air to and from Venezuela. Still, we are completely sure Mahan Air is making great efforts to conceal this matter, and that the Mahan Air CEO is personally involved in these matters.
