The DEA director Terry Cole labeled Venezuela as a narco-terrorist state, accusing the Maduro’s Regime of collaborating with the Colombia’s FARC and ELN to traffic cocaine and facilitate the record flow of fentanyl and methamphetamines into the U.S.
It is known that Venezuelan military intelligence, SEBIN, has long-standing ties to the FARC and ELN, even after the 2008 ceasefire agreement, with SEBIN arming the FARC’s Segunda Marquetalia Front with advanced weaponry, including MANPADs and ATGMs, in exchange for the groups’ cocaine production.
