The consortium recalled that through the Kavkazskaya station, transshipment into the CPC pipeline system and shipment to the company’s Marine Terminal as part of the CPC Blend port is carried out. Oil shippers delivered at least 130 thousand tons of oil per month through the Kavkazskaya station to the CPC system. In 2024, the volume of raw materials received amounted to about 1.51 million tons.

Depressurization of one of the tanks led to an explosion, and then another tank caught fire. By the evening of March 21, the first of the tanks that caught fire was completely extinguished. On the night of March 23, oil products spilled from the burning tank. The area of the fire increased to 2 thousand sq. m. On the night of March 23 to 24, one of the burning tanks “collapsed” due to high temperatures🔥 , but the area of the fire has not increased. 467 people and 185 pieces of equipment, as well as four fire engines, are involved in the fire extinguishing work.
